Our Managing Partner recently advised a leading federal government agency in the energy sector on the legal effect of the transfer of properties/assets vested in the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and the defunct Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) now, Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) to the NNPC Fund Administrator.

Our firm recently advised and worked closely with a marginal field operator in the oil and gas sector on its successful acquisition of a marginal field under the Federal Government of Nigeria’s Marginal Field Licensing Round. We also advised on the subsequent negotiations with its foreign technical partners regarding the farm-out of a 60% participating interest in the field.

We acted as Nigerian solicitors to a foreign client and provided legal advice on a dispute arising from the default in the repayment of a loan facility valued at USD 100 million.

We acted as solicitors to a leading financial institution in connection with the liquidation of a company arising from the default of a loan facility valued at NGN 10 billion.

Our Managing Partner was part of the legal team that represented the Adamawa State Government as Appellant in an appeal before the Court of Appeal, Abuja, challenging a Federal High Court judgment awarding N56,000,000,000.00 (Fifty-Six Billion Naira) to Senator Ned Nwoko for breach of contract.
